Description

Delight in these easy and colorful Lucky Charms Treats made with buttery marshmallows and iconic Lucky Charms cereal. This fun, no-bake dessert is perfect for parties or a nostalgic snack that kids and adults alike will love. Optionally topped with melted white chocolate for an extra sweet touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons (85 g) salted butter
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 cups (296 g) Lucky Charms cereal

Optional Topping

  • 2 oz (57 g) white chocolate bar, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare pan: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) pan with butter and set aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt butter: Place the butter in a large pot and melt it over low heat until fully liquefied.
  3. Add marshmallows and vanilla: Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows and vanilla extract. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Combine with cereal: Remove the pot from heat. Add the Lucky Charms cereal and gently stir until all the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Transfer to pan: Immediately spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Press gently to flatten without packing tightly, which can make the treats dense and tough.
  6. Cool: Allow the treats to cool completely in the pan at room temperature.
  7. Add topping (optional): If desired, melt the chopped white chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled treats to decorate.

Notes

  • Use low heat to melt butter and marshmallows to avoid burning or scorching.
  • Do not pack the cereal mixture tightly when pressing into the pan for a light and chewy texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to keep treats fresh and chewy.
  • For a fun twist, add sprinkles or extra marshmallows on top before the mixture cools.
  • White chocolate topping is optional but adds a lovely sweetness and attractive finish.
