Boba Pearls
- 1 cup cooked tapioca pearls
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Tea
- 1 ½ cup boiling water
- 2 bags green tea
Mango Tea Mixture
- 2 ripe mangoes, cubed or 2 cups frozen mango
- 1 ½ cups plant-based milk
- ¼ cup ice (optional)
Instructions
- Sweeten Tapioca Pearls: Mix the cooked tapioca pearls with the brown sugar and set aside to absorb the sweetness.
- Brew Green Tea: In a mug, add the boiling water and tea bags, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and set the brewed tea aside.
- Blend Mango Tea: Combine the mango, plant-based milk, and brewed green tea in a blender. Blend for 2 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Assemble Bubble Tea: Place the sweetened tapioca pearls into glasses, pour the blended mango tea mixture over the boba, and add ice if desired.
Notes
- Use warm water around 80°C (175°F) for brewing green tea to avoid bitterness.
- Choose the best quality mango available; frozen mango or high-quality mango puree is best when out of season.
- Adjust sweetness by adding extra sweetener if the mango isn’t naturally sweet enough.
- Consume freshly cooked boba within 3-4 hours and keep them submerged in liquid to maintain their texture.
