Description

Delicious no-bake Oreo truffles made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in white and dark chocolate, and decorated with sprinkles. Perfect sweet bite-sized treats for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 25 original Oreo cookies
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened

For Dipping and Decoration

  • 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate for dipping
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate for dipping
  • assorted sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until crushed into fine crumbs.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and process until it forms a large, shiny clump on one side of the bowl.
  3. Shape the Truffles: Use a medium cookie scoop to portion the mixture into 1 inch balls, then roll each one between your palms to create smooth, even shapes. Place the truffles on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt the Chocolate: Place the white and dark chocolate separately in microwave-safe bowls. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until nearly melted but still with small unmelted pieces to avoid burning. Allow residual heat to melt remaining pieces.
  5. Dip the Truffles: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate of your choice, coating completely. Return to parchment paper and decorate with sprinkles or extra chocolate drizzle if desired.
  6. Set the Chocolate: Let the chocolate harden before enjoying. You can set them at room temperature for about 30 minutes, refrigerate for 10 minutes, or freeze for 3 minutes to speed up hardening.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreo cookies for best results; Double Stuf Oreos have too much filling for this recipe. Brands like Back to Nature, Newman-O’s, and Famous Amos also work well.
  • You can use any type of chocolate for dipping: white, milk, ruby, or dark. For a sweeter truffle choose white, milk, or ruby chocolate; for less sweetness use dark chocolate.
  • Store leftover truffles in a single layer on wax or parchment paper in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Oreo truffles can also be frozen in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
