Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup (246g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (139g) + 2 tbsp salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (123g) brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (59ml) milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (228g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 36 Reese’s Thins

Instructions

  1. Cream Ingredients: With a mixer, cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until everything is fully incorporated and the batter is creamy.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture and mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  5. Scoop Dough: Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough and roll into balls, spacing them 2 inches apart on parchment-lined cookie sheets.
  6. Bake Cookies: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes. For smaller cookies (1.5 tablespoons), bake 8 minutes; for larger cookies (3 tablespoons), bake full 10 minutes. Avoid overcooking to keep cookies soft.
  7. Add Reese’s Thins: Immediately after removing cookies from oven, gently press one Reese’s Thins Peanut Butter cup into the center of each cookie.
  8. Cool and Set: Allow cookies to cool completely on the sheet so the chocolate cup sets before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature butter for easier creaming and better texture.
  • Don’t overbake; cookies are best soft and just cooked through.
  • Press Reese’s Thins into cookies while warm to ensure they stick well.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • You can substitute Reese’s Thins with other peanut butter cup candies if preferred.
