Scale
Main Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups filtered water (divided)
- Ice cubes for serving
Instructions
- Puree Peaches: In a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. For a silkier texture, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve.
- Juice Lemons: Juice the lemons until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Make Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water with the sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of cold filtered water. Stir thoroughly to mix all components.
- Serve: Pour the peach lemonade over ice cubes in tall glasses. Garnish optionally with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices for an extra touch of freshness.
Notes
- Adjust the sugar quantity according to the sweetness of the peaches and your personal preference.
- For a smoother texture, straining the peach puree is recommended but optional.
- This lemonade can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Add sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version.
- Use organic lemons and peaches for the best natural flavor.
